About Us
Alpha K9 Search and Recovery is a non-profit (501c3) volunteer organization founded in early 2025 by a group of experienced K9 handlers who saw a need for search and recovery services in Bucks County and surrounding areas
We are driven by a singular mission
To provide skilled, professional level, and compassionate search and recovery services through the capabilities of our highly trained K9 teams.
Our members bring years of experience in search and recovery and the belief that every search deserves unwavering dedication to provide hope for families, communities and organizations in their times of need.
We provide search and recovery resources to local emergency services, the National Park Service, and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR). We provide skilled professional resources 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no cost to emergency services or the families of the missing.
While based in Bucks County we are available to serve Southeastern Pennsylvania and the surrounding states of Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland as well as mutual aid responses with our search and rescue partners in the area.
Beyond our search and recovery missions we believe in providing communities with knowledge in the form of education and awareness. We promote education on hiking safety and basic survival skills if lost, for example the Hug a Tree Program and Whistles for Survival.
